US WorldMeds is a closely held Delaware limited liability company, which
was organized on March 23, 2001 to develop and sell affordable
pharmaceutical products to help people worldwide. Its principal
officers, friends, family and grants (Vogt Fund inaugural winner and
Kentucky Science & Technology Corporation) have funded the business to
date.
US WorldMeds' key officers include:
- Chief Executive Officer: Paul Breckinridge "Breck" Jones, a Wharton MBA, who has founded or co-founded several successful businesses.
- Chief Scientific Officer: George Digenis, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmaceutics at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy.
- Vice President Scientific Affairs: Abeer M. Al-Ghananeem, Ph.D., Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky, College of Pharmacy and a consultant in transmucosal & targeted drug delivery technologies.
- Vice President Regulatory Affairs: Jeff Staffa, Ph.D., a former FDA official and 20+ year industry veteran
- Vice President Clinical Research: Charles W. "Chuck" Gorodetzky, M.D., Ph.D., former Scientific Director and 20+ years at the NIDA Addiction Research Center in Lexington, KY, plus 20+ years leading industry clinical research efforts.
- Vice President Commercial Operations: H. Lee Warren, Jr., a 20-year industry veteran.
- Director Regulatory Affairs: Donald R. Peckels, a 35-year veteran in the US Rx drug pharmaceutical arena.
